Oh I wondered. I just figured anything north of me was colder. Yes it gets below 0 F, easily. It is around 20 F right now, burr. Do you feed a lot of hummingbirds? I usually put about 14 feeders out and can go through a gallon a day during the peak. Just love those little birds!

I put a feeder out in the spring but there are so many flowers that they seem to lose interest around nesting time. During the winter the flowers are very limited, so this is my chance to enjoy them all winter. There aren't huge numbers of them. They have only been wintering on the islands for about 15 years.

I cannot wait to finish my training and try and get a job on the island. It is sunny outside, but -20C. That's -4F.

If you buy a few plants(BIN) from Kawamoto, say 4 plants....do you pay full price listed? Each plant has shipping cost included and I was wondering if shipping cost is less when they mail them together.

You pay the BIN price for each plant. Most of Kawamotos sale include free shipping. There are no discounts available for multi purchases that I know of.

I bought three plants and they shipped together in one order for free.

Yes, they pay shipping on all plants. Last year they sold plants at aution or BIN plus shipping and if you purchased more than one they discounted the shipping on the extra plants. I think it was 14.00 for the first and 4.00 for each additional plant. Now you pay the plant price and shipping is free - one or more. I think the old method was cheaper as the savings in shipping was passed on to the buyer - not anymore. I used to buy extra plants to save on shipping but not anymore because there is no savings.

I'm not unhappy as they are still my favorite source - just stating the facts

What does the BIN stand for? If you add to your cart a BIN auction that shows 2 plants, you are buying one or two?
