They have a really large operation. Although I think you're better off just buying plants via eBay since they otherwise charge a lot more for shipping.

I recently bought a C. Cherry Song 'Pink' from them. Very healthy plant and well packed, can't wait until it blooms. I will buy from them again I'm sure.

In Canada there are no Ebay orchid sellers. I don't know why. There is the odd seller is other countries but that's pretty risky.

Probably because shipping in this country is so horribly expensive, and also because 5/12 months of the year, it's too cold to ship live plants. Doesn't stop me from drooling over the listings on ebay.com!

Edit: just noticed you are one of the lucky chosen Canadians on Vancouver island, zone 9. Greetings from zone 3 /cries in the corner...under 10 blankets and a space heater..

That very well could be the reason.
We moved here from Ontario to get away from the cold. It's zone 7b where we are and seldom goes below -11. We have a hummingbird at our feeder this winter.

Kawamoto is always my first stop at every show. I can't leave without a couple new plants. They are so helpful and are always willing to give lots of culture advice to new growers.

A hummingbird way up there in winter, very unusual! My last hummie was seen Oct 8 in Northern Indiana.

After not having so much luck with an orchid from ebay, it's alive, but barely! I ordered from Kawamoto and what I received was AWESOME! Very good seller and quick shipping too!

BC might be further up north but it is moderated by the ocean. Northern Indiana must be freezing cold in the winter.

I too have had a great experience with Kawamoto. I was nervous about buying on eBay, but saw everyone here had only good things to say, so i went ahead. Glad I did. I got a great Blc. Binosa (4N) that hasn't missed a beat. It's growing happily.
