Fair enough, I have edited it. It wasn't meant like that..

Bud, Thanks for the tips. I have an excellent fungicide to hand, so I will give it a dose. It's going to be one ugly plant, but I am disinclined to just throw it out.
Here we have a weird mix of weather, and it can be very drying indeed, so much so that it would make me very nervous of hanging it in the open air. On the worse days, the wind can feel like you opened the door on a fan assisted oven.

The vanda in the vase has been granted a seal of approval. This morning I saw a tree frog happily esconsed between the leaves.

The Phal is my guinea pig. It is a rescue plant, and not my best, so it get's to go into new locations to test them out. Again, winds are a problem here sometimes, and top heavy plants are at risk. That pot size is an experiment, as a friend claims great success using it.

So, what size would you go for please, and why?
