Default Odoms

Just wanted to give a shout out to Odoms, since I can't find a thread on them. My daughter and I drove there a couple days ago, and got the Rlc. Golf Green 'Hair Pig' she's been wanting so long. Super nice there, thnigs looked fine, got to wander the greenhouses and pick the multileaded one she wanted (so yay we each have our own now, and helps justify the price to hubby). They answered all our questions about various plants and even checked to make sure we weren't heading into weather on the way back. Definitely plan on going back, hopefully with a fuller wallet I could have bought a carload but was good- just the Golf Green and an inexpensive dendrobium.

I agree, Odom's has a nice selection of healthy cattleyas. Their plants are large also, not the seedling that many vendors sell.

I have bought a few from them but it is too early for them to bloom. Plants are usually good size and healthy.
They have nice selection.
For me, regardless of where I buy from, I have to repot in loose media that suits here fof outdoor growing. That sets the plants back a bit.hopefully by next year mine will be ready to bloom.

they love us too cus everytime a thread goes up about nice grown and good looking orchids their business jumps 500%

you would think that some other vendors who shall remain un-named could figure this out hey?

Ive flat out not done business ever again from a few of them out there who sent me crap just one time. Yeah they took it back, gave me credit and a free plant. That doesnt account for the fact that you sent me crap to start with mister

Hi Janet, I'm near Orlando so I just hopped over quick to 95, they're RIGHT off it at the Hwy 68 exit in Ft. Pierce. From where you are, hmm... maybe take Hwy 60 east (to avoid the northward swing of I4) to 95, or to the Turnpike then south, or even to Hwy 441 then south- Hwy 68 butts into it all. Their address is 1611 S. Jenkins Rd, think it was the 2nd right east from the intersection of 95 and 68.
Yeah, I've been wanting to get over your way and check some nurseries- St Pete Orchid Farm looks to have some awesome encyclias. Might be going OTR soon though, so not the best time to get more plants.
The Golf Green is already throwing out new roots like crazy, and I *think* (early yet) one of the 3 sheaths it had is showing some inner development.
