Default orchid order problems

Hi everyone,
I recently ordered two paph niveum in bud from an eBay seller. There was pictures of them and they looked good, but once the flowers opened I was not pleased. They are definitely brachi but I don't think they are niveum. They have tons of large spots and have very poor from. I was expecting a mainly white orchid. Even the form of the pouch would suggest a different species. What would you guys do?

Have you contacted the seller? I would contact the seller.
I don't know much about this orchids, how does the over all health of the plant looks like? I ask because on first picture the bottom leaf looks very dark to me like is on its way out. But that maybe just lighting.

Though it might pass as P. niveum, it most certainly seems to have been misrepresented in the eBay listing.

contact the seller and see if there was a mix-up. And if you can resolve it, I would contact ebay as well.

I would contact the seller if you feel misled by the listing. I have received a couple of misrepresented or mislabeled plants on ebay. After contacting the sellers, we always managed to come up with solutions that I was happy with. Most regular sellers want happy customers who leave positive feedback. Good luck and let us know how it works out for you.

Well, the tag does read niveum, and the bottom leaf is dead on the one.... Idk... I was expecting a much nicer flower. I'll contact the seller, I was just wanting opinions on if I was being too picky.

If it arrives at your doorstep and it's not what you feel you paid for you should definitely get in touch with the seller explaining your concerns. I don't grow paphs, but your flower looks completely different from the picture posted. The seller may not even be aware what the wholesaler has sent them flowers that will look like this, so I think it's worth it to drop them a note along with a picture of the opened flower.

Oh, I have had labels read one thing, but once the plant bloomed, I was positive it was mislabeled. I am not saying yours is mislabeled, but mistakes do happen.

That is a reputable dealer, and I would be very surprised if they don't work with you to resolve the problem to your satisfaction. But they can't know there is a problem until you tell them. I might even say it is a bit unfair to identify them publicly as a problem before even contacting them.
