Larry's Orchids and Tropicals Order
Hi all--
Ordered a couple of orchids and some other tropicals from Larry's and very happy with the plants. Box arrived a bit dented and a day late courtesy of USPS, but packing (including a heat pack) was superb and everything inside was in great shape. Larry's also had great customer service and made sure to stay in touch with me until the package arrived.
Here's what I ordered: Camellia sinensis, edible fig (three cv's), dwarf banana "Truly Tiny", Slc. Samba Princess 'Pretty in Pink', and three Phal equestris. All are nice healthy plants that are well potted and rooted.
I'll definitely order from them again.

I forgot they existed. I used to order from them. Thanks for the reminder.

I have the camellia and a musa, too. I grew a fig tree but I needed space so I gave it away. Now my youngest decided she loves them so in the spring, I will be adding a mini-fig tree again.
Enjoy your new plants and orchids!

Tea and orchids (and fruit) could make for a nice afternoon.
I love figs but freaked out about the whole wasp thing.

Figs are good, wasps and all.

I've order from them before and I've always been happy with the orchids. The only thing I have a problem with (and its because of the state laws) is that I can't order any of the miniature citrus trees from them.

My "Brown Turkey" fig set a couple of fruits this summer--no wasp problem (it's the pollinator for the plant if I remember correctly) and the fruit was delicious. The figs I ordered from Larry's are small, but figs tend to grow quickly, so it won't be long until they fruit. The Musa should also fruit at a small size, and the tea is ready for harvest whenever I want to pinch the branches back (grin)....Tea, fruit, and orchids--who could want anything more?
