Ecuagenera - Today's pick up at the show
Ok, so I picked up my order. Except Ascocentrum that did not make it ok and all the leaves on right side got broken and separated everything else look pretty good or decent, happy. Except all the mini's that are mentioned in the thread hygrolon cylinder I did pick up also these:
Kefersteinia mystacina
Paphinia herrerae
Catasetum saccatum lita
Dresslerella lasiocampa
All look great, re potted and hopefully growing well!

Nice plants! I bought quite a few fron Ecaugenera at a show last month. I really like Pepe, as he is honest about the condition of plants, he also gives great advice on the care of the plants.
I bought the Paphinia herrerae alba, but I got the last one, so it only has a leaf, but is in great shape otherwise and already has some new growth emerging.

OOOO.. cool you and I have very similar tastes in orchids mr. Tom, oh by the way what has been your favorite way to mount things so far?
I saw that you were trying those mounts that are terracotta, and you fill them up with water? do they work good? any smell? i saw some people had some smells coming out of them .
all your plants look really healthy

Hector, I did use them for dracula and masdie, but both were not doing great, masdie did not make it after being mounted on the pot, and dracula went to a friend up north, however, I do use them still, I have them filled with hydrolon pebbles, and water, and keep my pleurothallis and other cool liking orchids in it, and yes, you can touch it and feel the huge difference in temp. However, I do love to mount on cork, tree fern, and cider slabs, they are available from my supplier and orchids like them:-) I did try drift wood - did not like it much, very heavy and mold grows on them, and I did use bamboo - works ok for some:-)

Yes Norma, they are, so you can actually pre order from their website (all pre orders must be made I think by 28 of December for the show in January). Tamiami will have all the great ones, even Kawamoto from Hawaii, Andy's, Springwater and dozens of others! That one will be hard for the wallet:-)))))

Eucagenera is also present at the show in Madrid next month. I might consider getting a few plants from them
