Canadian Vendor (SuperOrchids)
I just got on the mail this morning:
A large blooming sized three bulbs with two new leads
Bollopetalum Midnight Blue 'Cardinal's Roost' from SuperOrchids of Langley, British Columbia, Canada(via EBAY)
It was expertly packed arrived in 4 days airmail small packet in a 6” X 12” brown box.
If Canada can send me an Orchid plant that passed US customs inspection (I saw the US custom stamp), then I guess USA can also mail to Canada with no problems at all if papers are all in order.

U.S. allowing things thru is not the same as Canada allowing things thru. Two different countries with different rules.
Glad you got such a nice plant. I'll check that E bay site out.

Their FB page looks nice but nothing like an actual address and wide open arms for the customers. Filling up their online Contact Us form didn't work - no answer.

I'm trying to contact them through E-Bay now. Funny how it works.

They seem to go by Super Orchids and Zygopetalum on E-bay with the same plants offered on both sites. They also have a web page under Zygopetalum.com but he has never replied to any of my e-mails in the last 6 months or more and they never get the site updated with plants or send out the newsletter I signed up for. But I have heard others get nice plants from the list offered on E Bay. Our society was going to order from him but he never answered our questions so we ditched the idea.

That is very strange.... we have exchanged messages and communicated via Ebay email.....I asked him about discounted shipping, customs certificate and tips on how to care for my new plant = he immediately responds and even gave me a list of his culture and tips

That's how he responded last fall when he first opened his business there. Real friendly and back and forth, eager to please. I wanted a particular Zygopetalum that he was supposed to get (amongst many, many more) and he seems to never have got them but won't confirm one way or the other for me. He is called Zygopetalum.com after all! Our society wanted to do an order by May before we quit our meetings for the summer. But he sent us a price list and then that was it. No more communications and answers to questions. Now it is too late and we have given up on him.

Still no reply to any of my requests for information -via Facebook Contact form, as well as via EBay. Clearly, the guy is very selective re whom he wants to communicate with and it appears, locals are not welcome (I mentioned I wanted to pay a visit.)
Well, he just lost another customer.
