Does anybody have any experience with them? They have several interesting plants on their list...

I can provide one data point.
I got a big M. abayacana at a show from them, biggest I've seen so far. When I got it home and looked, I found ugly but not entirely hopeless roots. Leaves were algae stained but clean otherwise.

Thanks for the info; I'm figuring that the roots will be in about the same condition as pleuros from Ecuagenera...

I have known the Arias family for nearly 25 years. They have 4 different nurseries in Peru at various elevations. Manolo Arias does all the foreign shows and will be at Redlands in May, although I think the preorder deadline for plants to be brought to Florida has passed. The plants I purchased from them last year arrived in great shape. (Much better than from Ecuagenera) There is no current website, but you can obtain the pricelist by contacting them at
contact@peruflora.net
You can see photos of their plants on my Flickr photostream in the sets titled Peru 2011: Faces and Places and Poesia de Pachamana

I just bought from their table , for example Catasetum stevensonii and a Galeandra. The plants brought to Germany were in good condition as they just arrived.
Sometimes when they attend several shows, plants may be selected and are not as fresh as they arrived. When you ordered shipping, they will send them immediately after the custom paperwork has been done.
You can preorder and ask for specific plants that are not on their list, also for Cattleya rex varieties.
But in general when you can get an established plant you shouldn't buy one that is fresh imported.

I mostly grow species Masdevallias & a smattering of Draculas and other Pleuros...most of what I'm interested in isn't available domestically...
I placed a small pre-order from them, just thought that I'd see what everybody else had to say; some imported plants I've been very pleased with (Colombian Orchid Imports), some are generally top notch, but can be iffy other times (Ecuagenera) & some are one-offs (Jardineria Manrique)

Update:
My PeruFlora order arrived in the mail yesterday; all the plants were well packed and look great; the only one that looked a bit "off" was a Telipogon sp, but if you look at them wrong they tend to shed their leaves...and the other two of the genus arrived looking great. I will be ordering from them again the next time that they are coming to the US...their list of veitchiana hybrids is pretty extensive...

PeruFlora was in California last weekend and I picked up a couple of cattleya species that I had ordered. The plants were large and healthy.

I pre-ordered again because this is their last trip to the US this year. Very nice plants and great packing/quick shipping. I'm sure I'll place another order next year...if I don't get down to Peru before then to visit thier nursery.
