Bob:
Glad you liked the post enough to look into it. I did not know he will sell live moss, and I need some. Would you let me know what quantity and price it is once you get it? Or are you saying you are paying 5-10 dollars for a pot of it? I would appreciate it as it is time to repot my Sophronitis coccinea and I would love to have it back on the moss bed it arrived in. Without thinking, I dipped the pot in a fungicide - one that had copper in it. Copper is deadly to mosses, so my little Sophi's are no longer resting on their moss bed! Live and learn - (learn exactly how dumb I can be)! But even though the orc's did not seem to notice, I still want the optimum growing conditions for these little ones - plus it looks great.
Hope you have fun dreaming about them - or looking at them should you decide to buy one!
And I concur - he is one of the nicest vendors I have found in a LONG time. Also very knowledgeable and easy to work with! As an example of his ethics - I ordered a 4N Sophronitis coccinea with 12 shoots - there was a mix up and my order did not get processed right away; so he sent one with about 16 shoots at no charge. You don't find that in a vendor everyday!
Happy hunting and enjoy your upcoming show!

Well thanks for posting! Glenn really is a nice guy and a joy to talk to!
No, I'm talking about dry/dead Sphagnum moss. If I knew where to get live Sphagnum, I would!! Let me know if you find any! It's the same moss you see a lot of places except for this is New Zealand Sphagnum and he has the higher AAAA and AAAAA grades. I'll probably end up getting AAAA. Nicer longer strands than the AAA we see so frequently. If I could afford the AAAAA, you can bet that's what I'd get! But the price difference between 4A and 5A is worthy of note.
When I said $5-10 for a pot, I'm talking about a traditional fancy Neofinetia display pot. He said he would personally hand pick an attractive one that would fit my Senzai!

I also want the long stranded AAAAA sphagnum so now I know where to get some. I will call him and ask about live moss as the pots I got had a really nice mounding growth of moss, just prior to my moss-icide. I will let you know if he shares his live moss or not!
And when you get your pot, let us see it. I also want one, but have been on a tight budget since I had a lower back disc rupture again......I worked a little to long in the oilfield, made some good money, but got a bad back out of the deal.
Age isn't for wusses, but the alternative to aging isn't too alluring either!
Keep us updated!

Me too! But I can't afford it! Besides I don't have any huge plants so I think the 4A will be long enough for the sizes I do have.
I certainly will show pics!! I have no idea what it will look like! Whatever Glenn picks out is what I'll get. Super excited about it though! I love the pot that I have on my Setsuzan!! I'm sure I'll love this one too!
Back pain is never good I tore a muscle in my lower lumbar vertebrae training for junior nationals. And this past week I re-tore it or tore a different one. It hurts
Do let me know about that live sphagnum!! I would love to have some! I love the way it looks live and I could grow it and basically have my own supply!

Will do Bob - I need some so eventually I will locate it!
Thanks for sharing about the long strand sphagnum - I will be calling Dr. Lehr Monday (unless something else happens).
I had log off earlier as I was itching all over - I am covered with a rash from head to toe - after some research I found the new pain pill I was taking interacts (negatively) with about 5 other drugs I take daily so - back to the Dr.
I am almost as excited about your new pot as you are. I really want one for my Neo, so I may just be calling the good Dr. Lehr about that also!
Maybe I don't have to eat that well now after all! I could lose a pound or two so...
Best of luck,
Steve

Definitely let me know!!!!
Uh oh! Hopefully it goes away soon! Doesn't sound fun!
You should! He has some really expensive stuff, but also some that are affordable! The section for pots on his website was updated within the last week, you should go check it out!
