Great! I don't grow the things they sell, but I've ordered from them in the past and they are always reliable.

I have gotten some really nice orchids from Hausemann's. I always buy their seedling Catts and have fun watching them settle and grow. Very rewarding.

Speaking of Hausermann's, I remember having a white cattleya with a yellow throat that repeat bloomed about 30 years ago. I think it was called Louise Hausermann or something like that. I would love to get that one again. Anyone familiar with what it was called? Every new growth bloomed as soon as it mature, and at times it'd have quite a few PBs blooming. Also, it was fragrant, not a huge plant, but good size.

best to call them....
I looked in OrchidWiz and there seems to be every name except Louise registered.
The only one with a photo that matches your description is Marjorie Hausermann. Looks stunning !

You got it! It was Marjorie Hausermann York. Don't know why I was remembering Louise. But seeing the York part made me remember. I'll have to order one for old time's sake. Hopefully it does OK in a cooler climate, I lived in Houston when I grew that one.

Marjorie Hausermann is one of the old standard Hausermann stock whites that they grew for corsages for years. I have found it in one of their old catalogs, but that would not be of any help. It was bred into a lot of the modern white. In my opinion, this is one of the Golden Oldies. It and Bob Betts 'White Lightening' are some of the best whites ever - when Bob Betts hit the market in 1945 (little before my time) it took about every award offered. It is the idea 1940's corsage orchid!
You know - I just looked online and Hausemann's is offering Marjorie Hausermann 'York' at this time in a 6' pot for $32.95?
I will be ordering one myself.
Steve
