Got my Neo's today too. Really nice plants - much larger than I expected!

Happy to see you took advantage of the sale! For the price, I wasn't expecting the beauties I got either

Default Oak Hill is a class act.

Has anyone ever heard Hermann speak? We had him come in 2006 to a seminar we held in Springfield. I have to tell you that I know people who have seen him speak a number of different places, never talk about the same thing, but give excellent presentations wherever he spoke. We have also bought a number of plants from them before and they are in good shape when you buy them. If you get them somewhere else, they need to be cleaned up because they can look pretty ratty. I think that in our area, there is absolutely no comparison to anyone else.

I've never had the pleasure of hearing a presentation by anybody from Oak Hill but boy oh boy, would I love to!
They are among my favorite vendors, have NEVER had the slightest hint of a problem from them with them.

On another note, this thread just made me realize just how bad my addiction is...
I had promised myself (and hubby ) that I wouldn't buy any more 'chids till I get to the WOC in January.
For the past few days, I've been thinking maybe I should order just one as it's been awhile.

I see from the start date of this thread that it's only been two weeks!

HELP!!!

Default I think Hermann is the only one

that does the talks. His daughter and son-in-law run the shop for the most part. I think he does a lot of traveling. He used to work for Hausermann's years and years ago before he split with them and went out on his own. Really nice man.

Two month's on the wagon! I don't think I could do it either. I am trying to hold out till after Chirstmas. My Home Depot has just received a large selection of Cymbidium's and a lot of Bamboo orchids that I am eyeing. It's all I can do to leave without one!!! I keep Lindor truffles near by to easy the pain

Hang in there!!!!

Default As many opportunities as you have

to buy great orchids where you are, I gotta tell you, I'm jealous as hell. I cannot imagine how many orchids I would have if I lived where you are-my wife would probably have me living on the porch, because I would have filled my house and greenhouse many times over.

I have been a good boy. I have not bought any orchids since my EOOM order last month. I don't forsee myself buying anymore for a long while either. So why don't you do like me, resort to trading . I'm sure you can make a few cuttings here and there.
Yesterday I was at a supermarket. They had tons of phals with nasty roots, and bad looking leaves. The spikes were withering and all the flowers were wilted. I was dieing to buy one!!!
Yes, orchid withdrawal is not a good thing. Thank god you guys are here!
