Update on the little Tolumnia I got from Oak Hill. It died. Let it dry out completely betweening waterings so not sure what happened. Other 2 micro minis still doing great though.

I water my Tolumnias daily. But they are potted in large chunk charcoal in baskets. They get 24/7 constant air movement from fans and full sun when it is available.

I give water my Tolumnia once a week in the winter and often during the summer. I also mist it often and keep the humidity high (60-90%) year round. It is located in a west window with hot temperatures. It is growing in a clay pot with fine bark orchid mix. Sometime, I may forget to water it, and it doesn't seem to like that since the leaves lose their firmness, however the leaves firm up again after watering it. Tolumnias are not tolerant from being dried out too much. I am sorry to hear the loss. But the advantage is that it gives you a reason to get a new orchid

I've got mine mounted and it's doing OK but is actually growing a little big and hanging "out there". . . I think your idea to pot it in charcoal sounds like a better plan, at least for my space.

Gonna test it!

Default Just got my Oak Hill order...

and they are spectacular!!!

For the month of November, Oak Hill is having a Neofinetia sale. What I received today makes me regret only ordering one of each! (I didn't get the Ascf Cherry Blossom only because I have it already )

Neo Sale at Oak Hill

Below are my new Neofinetia falcata, shown alone and then in the terrarium...

and my new Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Kultana', shown alone and on a shelf out with the other chids...

Fantastic!!!
