Smile Peloric vs Non Peloric

DJ - funny you should ask because I address the exact question in another post.
Phantasm give a lovely explanation here - http://www.orchidboard.com/community...a-parts-2.html
Here is the difference between a non peloric Phal equistris 'Olympia Cutie' and a peloric Phal equistris 'Olympia' just to give you an example of the difference in petal shapes.

WoW! I understand now. . .I would have asked for the non-peloric too. But they're both really lovely.

Dang it, now I want one. . .when you email them, you might as well ask if they've got a couple of them. LOL

I have dealt with this vendor before and found them to be very nice. Write or call them and tell them of the situation.....I'm sure she will work something out with you.

Some plants will bloom peloric on one blooming and normal on the next, as well. Pelorism is heavily influenced by environment. I've seen spikes of flowers where some were peloric and some not, too.

Anywho... Contact the vendor, by e-mail if they have it so that you can get your thoughts in order, and tell them what happened. You never know, I'm sure they will try to make it right somehow.
