Default Olympic Orchids

Has anybody used Olympic Orchids before and if so what was your experience?

I've ordered from them once before, not really enough to be able to give a definitive recommendation one way or another. I will say that they deal mostly in seedlings. Unless a plant is listed as mature, be prepared for something that may take several years to reach flowering size.

Yeah, I know that they have a lot of seedlings. That's what I usually get or nbs. I'm just wanting to get a few that Oak Hill doesn't carry. Thanks for the response.

I got some species phals from them several years ago and am still pleased with what I got. They were seedlings and most have now matured and flowered.

I have ordered frequently from them over the past few years; most of what they sell is, as stated above, seedling sized (there is a note to this effect on their website as well); the prices are great, seedlings have always been very nice, shipping is reasonable and prompt.

So I just received the order I bought from Olympic Orchids, so I figured I'd leave a comment in case anyone else was interested!:

I'm really, really happy with my purchase--I paid $28 total (including shipping) for 4 seedlings, two species that I specifically wanted, one grab bag seedling, and one no-ID seedling. I'm ecstatic about these prices--I can actually afford this!!
Here's where it gets interesting: I made this order three days before the horrible Sandy headed over this way!!! I was terrified, when she moved in on us, that I was going to eventually receive a box of sad, dead plants, because we got hit real bad in our spot of NJ, and our post office STILL ISN'T RUNNING AT FULL SERVICE. (Mail started coming a few days later, but was cut off for several days.)
But much to my relief, Ellen at Olympic waited for the storm chaos to pass and shipped the following Monday!! She apologized in her email confirmation for the delay, but hell I'm so relieved!!! They came to me two days later on Wednesday, perfectly happy and healthy, intact leaves, fat roots and all!!

I love these vendors, definitely worth it. I mean, yea, TINY plants, but healthy and VERY affordable! Shop knowing you're getting babies, and have fun!

I am glad your plants are OK. And especially that you rode out Hurricane Sandy and are also alright. I have friends in NJ and know how bad it was.
Good Luck!

Thank you, lostonthebeach, we came out very fortunate; a lot of people really, really took an irreparable hit. I hope your NJ friends were as fortunate as we were!!! <3
