This plant was suggested in the process of the project but...I did lots of research on them and found that their life expectancy is only 3 or 4 years. For the project, that wouldn't be good but at this sale price I just had to order them. One is going to a good friend of mine and the one I'm keeping is in a small plastic basket with a little sphag moss.

Thanks for reminding me. I remember some were not considered further for various reasons. I need long-lived 'cause I have been known to kill 'chids with kindness :evil: :blushing:

Terri, I ordered two Sederia japonica from them about a month ago...they were on sale for $5.75 each!!! :shock:

I was not expecting the high-quality plants that arrived for that price...imagine my surprise! :yikes:

Sue, the Sederia is back up to $9.95, but it's potted not bare root. That is still better than full price. The Beallara was only $17.50!! :shock: I was all over that one. I've been wanting both of these for a long time. Me thinks this will be the last plant purchase until spring. :roll:

You will want to repot your plants IMMEDIATELY upon arrival and quarantine them for a couple of months. Nearly every plant I have gotten from them (paphs mainly) has been infested with root buggies. I also got a case of mealies from them that I am still fighting (and slowly winning) a year later.

The only plant I got that did not have roots bugs had bad roots that I did not catch until way too late - on an expensive charlesworthii.

I am certain that many have had good luck with them, but I have talked with a few people recently that have had similar experiences to mine.

I wish I could order Sedirea japonica here. It is very difficult to find (in fact, I have never seen it available). Lucky you!!
