OK.....plants were received today.....look ok after I soaked them in H2O with KLN root hormone for a few hours. Here they are.
Oh and the bonus plant is realllyyyyy new for me so I need to do some research on it. I am going to decide on what to do with them, the phals are either going to be mounted or be put in s/h, and I need a basket for the Vanda. The bonus which I think is a Den..? I dunno yet and completely clueless.
The plants aren't bad, but some are small as you can see. But the leaves are mostly alright except for the Violacea Borneo which are flimsy
Some of the smaller ones with lil roots I will probably mount with nice sphag......they were really dried out! Spikes look alright for now.
I HOPE THEY WILL BLOOM AND FLOWER AND NOT STUNT THE SPIKE!!!!

OH but I will say I also bid on two other phals on ebay with the seller: mijo730. These plants are great and the spike is lengthy.
The plants' sizes are larger than expected and they shipped them in pots. I am sorry I forgot to take but will do so tomorrow.
His name is Michael Sielaff with Rainbow Bay Orchids. His buisness card says he's from OR.
Just thought I would share that good info too!

Don't be concern about the voilacea's flimsiness. They are suppose to be wide-leaved, glossy, green and flimsy. They aren't like hybrids that are stiff and dark green. Your phal leaves looks fine

Thank you both very much...I was so reluctant to open the package when it came! I now don't know what to pot them in....I am waiting on an order of virgin cork to mount some of the specie phals, but I want to pot some in s/h and I don't want to kill them or stunt their spike!!!

If you could comment on how I should pot would be great!

Bill Asia and orchid_master are one in the same, totally legitimate, totally up front. It's a split partnership he now has, hence the name 'orchid_master.' I say, totally up front because I receive the newletters from this buyer and remember when he announced this new division.

Now for a little bit of juice All of his plants are shipped to him from the Phillipines! He doesn't have a nursery in Miaimi, those photos don't belong to any nursery in the states, they belong to his suppliers.

...I get my information from a very reliable source.

He's a business man, that's all and the ratio of how much he sells to the number of neg. feedback, still has him smelling like a rose!....or an orchid!

I've bought a few orchids from him, nothing impressive, he really doesn't sell anything unique and his shipping charges are ridiculous....but I've gotten caught up, I admit. His photos are a bit deceptive because the "small plants" he shows, are huge in comparison to what you receive. None of them have died, they've all been received in the condition expected, bare rooted which means additional preparation before potting them but that's what to be expected with bare rooted plants.

There are quite a number of excellent ebay orchid vendors selling incredible plants that have been maintained first hand and not passed through any middle-mans hands....like Bill Asia which is what he is, a middle man making a very profitable living...and he has us to thank for that!

Thanks cookiemonster! Yeah $4.50 for the vanda...and in SPIKE! She's still livin! Its about 2 feet tall from bottom of basket. I would buy again from him, if i wanted a few more plants.
Sandy, very true in everything you have said. I read everything he stated in his auction, and there weren't any other surprises for me, I was just nervous about the condition of the plants due to some plants bought in the past by others and their experience.

it is quite horrible and depressing that there are people praying on others (eg. us) who try to see the best in everyone.

but, you guys are doing the best to warn others - good communication is the key!

keep up the good work!

Just for the record, my response and info that I posted was not necessarily in favor of and definitely not to slander Bill Asia. He's always delivered...just not exactly what I thought I was getting...
