These are the rules to changing a user's name on eBay -
Changing Your eBay User ID
It states that -
"When you change your User ID, the change will appear immediately, even in listings you're participating in.
eBay will automatically attach your member and other important account information, including your Feedback Score, to your new User ID.
The "Changed ID" icon will also appear next to your User ID for 30 days.
Your old User ID can't be used by anyone else at eBay for 30 days.
You can only change your User ID once in a 30-day period. This is to prevent confusion for other members. Your User ID is a valuable asset, like your Feedback profile. Trading partners will come to recognize you by your User ID, so it's a good idea to choose one you'll want to use long term."
So after 30 days - you may no longer know who you are dealing with if they have a tainted past.
I find it a slippery loophole for those who would, will and do take advantage of it.
Candice - Hang in there, girl. There are many good sellers on eBay and if you want any recommendation, I have a few. I, myself, have bought plants I thought were in good shape by their photo and description. I have now learned to ask questions before I bid. I ask about medium, last repotting, and health of root system since these are things that are virtually invisible to anyone buying any other way but in person. I keep those responses in case I win and find any discrepancies with what I receive. Since I have been doing this, I have bid on and received nothing but excellent plants off of eBay and have shied away from anyone not willing to answer my questions. I also keep away from any photos with leaf and pseudobulb pleating. If it is obvious in a photo, it is worse in real life.
Just set those little orchids up with liquid IV's and hope for the best
