Royal Orchid Club
I know that many have had a bad experience but I have to say the ones I received last week have been physically fine. I was surprised at the packaging (about 2inches thick) and that all the plants were basically flattened, but after following the bare root treatment instructions on the web-site, I am happy to report that not one has died and they are doing well. I got 2 seedlings and 2 phals. I used ROC because the prices were noticeably "cheap".
Words of caution -
the plants, "blooming-size", are much smaller than those I have purchased elsewhere
they seem to change pricing every few days and the only way to get the revised price is to have them cancel the order and then you re-order. This causes hassle with shipping costs, applying pay-pal payments etc. My advice would be not to pay the order/s until a few days before shipment. Probably my bad as I placed 3 orders on different days.

The seedlings I got from them that were supposed to be a year out of flask, looked as though they had been deflasked right into the package I got. A couple of catt seedlings looked like blades of grass! Here's hoping yours survive.

I got my Vanda Pachara Delight in a basket from The Royal Orchid Club....it was a large matured plant delivered professionally packed in a FEDEX box...it spiked 6 mos later...but then, I emailed them specifically asking for a plant that has bloomed before or is about to produce blooms...I was specific that any Vanda below a foot is not acceptable: I wanted to purchase a Vanda that is a footlong or more in height. And they found one for me and sold it.
