Kawamoto's Orchids
If you haven't seen this eBay seller, he's been great to me, and with this new batch for the Summer project, the streak continues. I can't go out to Hawaii, but I'm making plans to visit if I ever can!
I got Trichoglottis brachiata, Angraecum leonis, Paraphalaenopsis labukensis, and Brassia Rex "Waiomao Spotless"
All are in good condition. The Ang. Leonis is looking a bit worse for wear from the trip, but it looks fine in the basket and probably just needs some water and some less confined space.
I've gotta give him a solid 10!

I love Kawamoto !!! I've been buying from them for the last 3 weeks. This week I ordered from Maui Orchids instead but I'll be looking to what Reid has available this weekend. A great seller and awesome person. I've met him a couple of times at the shows down here. I also got my Trichoglottis bracheata from him about a week ago and it's doing great !!! I'll take some pictures to post soon.

Totally agree with everyone here. I bought two plants from Reid last November, both are very healthy, growing like weeds. And I contacted him several times with questions, and he always responded very quickly!

I have also ordered from them. In fact my recent blooms are from one of their plants. I have always been happy with the plants I recieved. I did have some trouble with black rot and for some reason it attacked the plants I got from them over the rest of my collection. I am not for a minute saying it came with the plants as I had had them for a couple of months before I had the problem, but it was mainly plants from Kawamoto that succombed to the desease.

Excellent customer service...which you seldom if ever need because of the quality of the plants they ship. They know how to grow orchids. They also know how to ship orchids...A+

I have always been hearing great things about them and so i saved them as an ebay seller so i can look at them when deciede to expand my collection a touch lol
So by chance i found Cattleya Labiata var Alba that was up for auction i nearly fainted because i have been looking for the plant for nearly 2 years and it has two sheaths one that is filling with buds as we speak. its beautiful and in excellent excellent condition not a trace of bad on the plant! got away with the plant for 41 dollars plus shipping with three leads 2 sheaths!
I am definitely a new Faithful Customer i will always go there first to see if there is something i am looking for before i call any other nursery! And the fact that it came from Hawaii and the shipping was only 12 dollars you cannot beat those shipping costs!

Kawamoto Orchids
I once got a Bulbo. medusae from them that I did not like the looks of. I contacted them and they immediately sent me a refund, no questions asked. They would have sent a replacement but didn't have one on hand at that time. A 10 for me.

I have gotten several plants from them and didn't like the quality of plant I got. Can anyone say black rot and rotted roots..... They seem to be the quality of plants you get from those mass production chinese orchid farms.

My 1st rule after receiving an orchid mail order: ALWAYS repot them, unless the plant is in bloom.
All 50+ orchids I ordered from Kawamoto Orchids sine last year are either growing roots like weeds, or throwing spikes/blooms.
I found that ALL of my Dendrobium and Catts from Kawamoto Orchids come with a pretty much break down medium (of course most roots are pretty much rotted), which requires immediate repot. These plants just simply spring back to life after their 3-weeks sitting in the dark after repot.
Also, their plants are HUGE comparing to other in-land vendors AND the ebay price is VERY cheap! So I will definitely buy from them if their offering orchids are on my list
