why would they even bother to send crappy plants that arent healthy to you, then give you a full refund when you complain? hmmmmmmmmm thats suspicious in itself...in other words they knew they were crap when they sent them and were waiting to see if you complained...great service!!!

When I lived in Honolulu I went and visited Kawamoto fairly regularly. I think I only purchased more orchids from H&R! While I never had any plants sent to me via snail mail, I can attest to the friendliness of the staff and quality of the plants. The nursery is situated in a very wet part of the island and may explain some of the rotted roots on some plants. I have bought from them and will do so again in the future. Great place!

I've bought from them many times. They are a great company and they really care about customer service. There are bound to be a few "bad" plants in any nursery. And...the "bad" plants aren't that bad--once I got a catt from them that had few good roots, but it had such a nice clump of pbulbs and leaves, so I repotted it and it was quickly growing new roots everywhere, with minimal care (and I am not a catt expert nor do I have ideal growing conditions).

My last order from them was fantastic. I remember seeing the same hybrids/species that I bought for sale at orchid shows--the orchid show vendors were selling them at double the price and half the size. My plants were all large and healthy (and yes, even the mini orchids were bigger than expected)!

I will continue buying from them as they have an interesting selection of both hybrids and species.

Kawamoto has always delivered for me in a white flower box ...professionally wrapped and the blooms or spikes well protected. I have never received anything below par from them. I have the best regards for Kawamoto and the orchids they grow.

I purchased from them (again) about a month ago. I got some of their 2 for 1 plants. They were all bursting out of their pots. They had very few bad roots to remove and some of them couldn't be put back into the old pots without damage. I'm not even sure how they managed to still be in those pots. I have very high regaurds for them. Not only that, but they knocked down the shipping cost considerably from what I was expecting to pay.
