He has the most unique stuff and I agree it is potted up or mounted in the most unique way(s).
I ordered a Cynorkis purpurascens var. lowiana from Andy which is a rare terrestrial orchid species naturally occurring in Madegascar if I remember correctly.
I had to have this plant after I saw a full spread on a huge awarded blooming specimen in AOS magazine.
I have had this plant for four years. It is a weird one which has not bloomed but still fascinates me!
It has grown up these huge leaves at least 4 or 5 times only to have them almost "rot" off. (Thus I learned it's deciduous

)
The leaves are larger than what you see on Lycaste species. The root is tuberous. It prefers it fairly wet but needs a dry period.
There is very little literature on this plant as well. I had to experiment on media and it seems to like NZsphag mixed with a fine Aussie Gold 50/50.
Everytime I think I have finally killed it, another sprout comes up. I just got sprout number six two weeks ago about an inch tall right now. Only one growth at a time presents.
By far my most perplexing orchid and a testament to the true uniqueness of what Andy offers
Your plants look very healthy and have species names that look very original and uncommon. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed mine.
