Ordering online in Europe? Beware of DHL!

A month ago me and a friend of received 5 plants from Elsner. All of them were in great condition.

As far as I know DHL bought Deutsche Post but the services provided are worst than standard mail.

My 4 plants were in very good condition as well. Elsner has been a good supplier for me.
All 4 plant have settled in and are now actively growing.

I think it's the other way around. Anyway, this doesn't change the sad reality: services are very slow.

My solution is simple: I will visit the nurseries. There are no less than 6 in Belgium within 100 Km, and my 3 favorite nurseries in Germany are alligned along the same road, at 210, 290 and 340 km respectively. Picking plants in nursery cannot be beaten

I got plants from Elsner in march and they are really healthy, all growing and three of them blooming. But German Deutsche Post is going worse from week to week it seems. I sent a package from Spain to Germany registered. It got to Frankfurt in 2 days. There it "was lost" Comment of the Deutsche Post speaker: "Oh, that's normal, 80% of the packages from Spain are lost on the way!"
I just do not order any more since R....e sent a package without the correct address. I got the plants after 6 weeks - they had arrived the city I live, but spanish mail didn't know how to deliver it - the plants all dies short after and I never got a replacement...
