Can you please tell us who the vendor is? If nothing else, it will allow the caution sign to go up for the rest of us.

I got the wrong plant
I hate to point a "fraud" finger at him because all my other transactions with him have been OK. Nice, healthy, large plants. It is just this one time. But, it is shermantp on eBay.
As to a plagarized photo-do you mean he used a photo of someone else's plant? Hard to say. The week after I won the auction for the plant I was supposed to get, he auctioned another identical one. He says he is trying to make room in his GH by selling some of the large plants he has. But then he tells me he got the plant from someone in his area that is a "catt guy". So, I don't know what to think.
In any case, I opened a case with PayPal yesterday.
Stay tuned for further developments.

He has been one of my favorite sellers to date, but the last order I got from him gave me aphids. I let him know about it, but he thought his wife's big plant might have been the culprit. Didn't get a sorry and was a bit surprised. I know he deals with Oak Hill alot.

I get alot of my orchids via Ebay. I've only had one really bad experience - and that was because I made the mistake of complaining to the Vendor/Seller about the condition of the potting mix the orchid arrived in.
She was WILD with Anger! As a result, she "blocked and banned" me from ever being able to bid on any of her auctions again ! Hmmmmppfffff!
So Now I really don't complain about anything that I get from Ebay.! Live and Learn !

I got the wrong plant
neoNJ: She is not the only fish in the stream. I don't care if they like it or not. My money, my opinion. Just the same with the present problem I'm having. There are numerous vendors out there, eBay or not who are more than happy to take my money and send me a good plant.
Update on my on-going problem. He (the vendor) considers the "case closed". Is it against any rules to post his latest reply to me here? It is a bit circuitous and I'd like some opinions on it. Thanks

Photofashion, I really don't understand the view of the vendor. Does he not see that if you didn't care what you received, you could have gone and bought a clearance NoID phal at a local box store or even dug up a few violets? You wanted the specific plant he claimed to be selling and he sent you something else. Instead of expecting you to pay to have it shipped back, he should have accepted a picture of the blooms with the tag he sent, then refunded your money or found and sent the right plant to you. This is clearly his mistake and you shouldn't have to suffer for it. If there was any doubt of the plant's identity, he should have noted it or bloomed the plant before selling it. Gosh, if selling the wrong plant is okay and you don't have to worry about shipping, move over blue orchids! Good thing bamboo (future rare, very expensive, species dendrobium) doesn't bloom and would quickly die if treated like a dendrobium. But, honestly, you see my point. He should take full responsibility for his mistake, no matter how nice the new orchid is. Well, I hope paypal sees this the same way and gets you your money back. Good luck,
Leafmite

Nonsense, NeoNJ! If there is something about your purchase with which you are dissatisfied, of course you should say something. As far as the vendor banning you, that's their loss. That's at least one less potential customer --possibly even more if word gets around as to who that seller is.
