Carter & Holmes - Orchid Board

A friend and I went to Carter & Holmes Nursery about 10 days ago and had a wonderful experience. All of the staff from the front desk to the greenhouses were helpful and knowledgeable. The plants were exquisite, very reasonably priced, and we came home with ten new orchids between us. Before we left, the staff recommended a terrific place for lunch where we were welcome to bring our new orchids in with us and out of the heat of the car. If you are down South Carolina way or looking to order over the internet, I'd recommend C & H. Lisa

I can appreciate what you said about being able to remove the 'chids from the car

It's a part of planning any orchid outing down here too...

The other thing C & H is known for is their support of societies...they go out of their way to support the societies with reasonable prices/shipping. They'll also give you a gift certificate for $25 if you request it on society letterhead. We used it for a raffle.

Bottom line, C & H is a class act!

I contacted them last year so our orchid club could be put on their mailing list and received the $25.00 gift certificate. Our club has initiated a Reward Program to try to stimulate more involvement and we used this certificate as the prize for our first-quarter winner. Presented it to our friend Eleanor with a copy of their catalog and she was thrilled!
