They sell nice orchids and the person with whom I did a group order from them said that the people that run the place are friendly (he had to contact them a few times). I am glad that they have established a place in Florida. :)

I just placed an order for a few orchids. Elizabeth at Ecuagenera was very pleasant to deal with. I think their prices are reasonable too.
I'm told that the June shipment will leave Ecuador on June 14 bound for Miami. Then they'll ship orders to customers directly from Miami. I'm a bit concerned about having orchids shipped in the heat of the summer, particularly from Miami to New York. Chalk this one up to my poor impulse control. I couldn't wait til fall. We shall see. |
Just got this email from them. They are having a small sale.
No endorsement here, just passing along what I received but I do consider them one of my top 5 go to vendors. There were also 4 price lists (all orchid, lycate's, tropical plants, flasks) but forum doesn't seem to want me to attach those here for whatever reason. If anyone is interested I suspect they are on Ecuagenera's website but if you want to PM me I assume I could send them to you that way. due to the new global sanitary regulations taken after the COVID-19 outbreak several shows for this year were canceled. Until everything normalized, we will be shipping to your home. All the export and import procedures will be carried out by Ecuagenera (Cites, Phyto and other requirements), once the import process is completed, your parcel will be sent to the address that you provide us with in your order by USPS. Shipments to the USA will be carried out every 2-3 weeks from Florida. Thank you for your understanding and support of our company! I've had great experiences with Ecuagenera. Their prices are great. The only issue I had with them was rectified immediately and it wasn't their fault. My shipment got held up in the mail last summer during a heat wave and killed a philodenron. They replaced it ASAP free of charge. The trick is to take pictures of your shipment when it arrives. If anything looks bad email them the pictures with in 5 days and they replace it.

heads up to anyone who is in on this June order- it is shipping from Apopka today based on the email i received with tracking info
party time!!! i hope it is one day for me (since it is really only like 4 hours LOL) but expect them across the USA by Friday |
Read this thread carefully. Many people have received bad plants and no customer service.
|
I guess mine will be on the next shipment as my order from June 5th just says paid. I’m a bit apprehensive about my Masdevallias likely July journey to New York.
|
Yeah, I received the email last night that mine are on the way from Florida to Upstate NY. I'm on pins and needles about my Masdevallias too, especially making the trip from Ecuador first. I'll report back on the good or the ugly when they get here.
|
I read the reviews and I figured it was worth a small test order. I got some nice plants at a show last year so worth a shot
|
DC, how is your shipment progressing? I got the email with tracking info Monday evening. When I checked today the tracking information is still saying "Pre-shipment. Shipping label created". Poor little masdevallias!
