I'm not sure but I think when you change your ebay name the slate is wiped clean and you start fresh.

At one time, if you changed your user name on ebay, there was a statement attached to the new profile about the connection between the two profiles, it has been a long time since I have seen it so not sure if that method is still practiced.

I just tried doing a search on ebay for Orchid Master Store and got no results. Was just going to do some research on what he is trying to pull.

That is because his Orchid Master Store is not affiliated with or on ebay.

Oh, I misunderstood. I thought you guys were saying that he had started a new ebay id. Sorry.

No I think I am the one that misunderstood, I reread the first thread....oops! I only found the Orchid Master name by a search on google and it didn't look like it was on ebay, perhaps I didn't look closely enough?

My

Bill Asia is listed on eBay as both bill_asia and as orchid_ master plus one other that I don't remember right now. In order for the id to come up you have to use the underscore between both words.

It seems he has cleaned up his act (hopefully for those brave enough to purchase from him). He has a 100% feedback with some neutrals.

According to his auctions he is now sending out his plants either in pots or mounted.
But I think that the pics of some of the crosses are in question.

He has a cross "This experimental hybrid crossing of Phal bellina 'Yung' (mother) with Phal (Ching Ruey's Tiger X Haur Jin Diamond) resulted in a free flowering plant with larger than usual Bellina type flowers. Most of these plants have a delightful fragrance." that shows a very bellina looking flower. Based on the parentage, I wouldn't think that they would turn out the way he has them depicted. For that very reason I'd still be very leary purchasing anything from him.
CH3062 (Phal Chingruey's Tiger-Haur Jin Diamond) X - eBay (item 200552579633 end time Jan-07-11 00:26:09 PST)

In addition, a couple of years ago I had made a purchase of about 4-5 phals in Dec. Paid approximately $20 for combined shipping and received a very small (the smallest one USPS has) Priority mail box. I was home the day they arrived so I got the box handed to me. Upon opening I found each plant in a small baggie ( bareroot) with no additional packing. The plants were frozen. I sent him pics of how they were packed and how they looked when they arrived along with the fact I was there to receive them, along with my feels on the way they were packed for shipping.
It took him 8 days to respond to my email and when he did he said it was too late to refund or replace and that I should have notified him sooner and not have let the plants sit outside, and that he never uses heat packs.

So even if I thought that the crosses he now sells are correct I still would not purchase anything unless or until he changes the way he packs and ships.

Same guy/organization:

Royal Orchid Club = Bare root
Orchid Master = Potted/Mounted
Asian Orchid Farms = Wholesale

I have purchased a few plants from the first rendition, only to get so-so plants and getting charged totally outlandish rates fro shipping and handling.

Yup, I got burned by him too. Bought a 2 for 1 Vanda Pachara Delight and they were 3" big. Both lasted about two months max.

First time, shame on him, there will never be a next time.

And the email spam? Sheesh, it's the worst!
