My second order from Orquideas Tropicale - Panama

Hi Everyone

Well I am going to put in a good word for Gaspar Silvera at Orquideas Tropicale in Panama.. http://www.orquideastropicales.com/

I just got 3 boxes of the plane and got them home... Cant say anything good for Thai customs.. bunch of crooks if you ask me.

I have opened the boxes and unpacked box one. Here are pics. Some plants came in bloom. Oerstedella pajitensis, Hexisea embricata, and a prosthechea I dont recall the name of.

Healthy plants and mostly good sizes. Considering the order was 391 plants, there was only one wrong plant and little need for substitution. Amazing on my books.

I will be back for more in the future..

I think I still would have fainted at 65. But thats amazing, all those orchids survived shipping.

Yes, not a single plant lost.

Mind you, Gaspar sends by airfreight service provided by KLM and it takes only 3 days to get here. A good agent at my end and a few err... tips in the right peoples directions and we get the plants the day they arrive.

Some of the plants are phrags, masdevallia, stellis, lepanthes, etc, and they are here in perfect condition.

Actually, the lepanthes still have buds on them

OK - anyone else here interested in trying to put together a joint order? It would require getting a permit and so forth, but it might well be worthwhile....
Conversely - is anyone on the list (here in the US) already a client?

Here are pics of some of the smallest species in the order. They are Lepanthes sp., various Stelis and Pleurothallis, Masdevallia erinacea, Dryadella butcherii, Dichea etc.
