Why I LOVE SBOE..... Female
Talking Why I LOVE SBOE.....

Besides the fact that they sell fabulously gorgeous plants. . . I love SBOE because they take care of their customers!!

Here's what happened: back in June I bought a division of Laelia autumnalis var. alba 'Gene May' AM/AOS. At the time, it was one of the priciest divisions that I had purchased from them (175) Anyway, I got the plant in June, and I noticed that one of the backbulbs was kind of mushy.

I thought nothing of it because I thought "it's a backbulb' and I just thought it was dying off. So, when I potted it, I took off the backbulb.

Fast forward to the last week in September. By this time, I only had one bulb plus one new, unfinished growth.

I had taken the plant inside, taken it out of the pot and made sure it was getting enough moisture by lightly misting it. I tried fungicide--anything I could think of to save the plant. Finally, by the last week of September, the new growth had just basically dissolved from the bottom. The leaves in the old bulb and the new growth never got yellow or black, they still looked perfect.
None of my other plants had this-everyone was growing perfectly and spiking.

Anyway, I decided to contact SBOE to maybe see if they other divisions from the plant were sick. Guess what they are going to do? They are going to send me a new division with my next order? Now, this was totally unexpected and it just completely floored me. They didn't tell me I did something wrong--suck it up and deal with it. After all, I've had the division for about 3 months--plenty of time to kill a plant from a seller's perspective.

SBOE may be a little pricey, but evidently, they stand by their product. And, this orchid grower will continue to buy their plants!! They rock!
