Default Waldor Orchids

My husband and I just spent the morning today at Waldor Orchids.
David Off personally showed us around and was a wonderful host.
He answered all of our questions (and we had a LOT) regarding specific plants and made several recommendations not only with plants but for resources both literary and web based.
The nursery was impecably clean and organized.
Virus testing was performed as we casually talked and Mr. Off gave some further instruction regarding how to properly perform the Agdia ELISA virus screenings as well as how to visually inspect plants for virus.
The plants we purchased were outstandingly healthy and happy. I am particularly excited about my piece of Lc. Blue Boy 'Gainsborough'
I highly recommend this nursery and could not be more thrilled!
I cannot wait to go back as we are planning another trip toward the end of November.
...and a thank you very, very much to Mr. David Off

The folks at Waldor are great, and are being really smart by collecting some old cattleya crosses one might consider "heirlooms" for future distribution.

What's funny (to me, anyway), is that at age 6 I moved to within a few blocks of them, and even though I never visited the greenhouses, it was probably the initial osmosis of orchid fever that infected me!
