ecuagenera europe
hey ob,
just wanted to give an update that ecuagenera europe has more orchidpacks (miniflasks) for sale again. after the sale of the former grower to ecuagenera, their orchipack listing was dwindling. just checked back and they have more available and some new ones!
we have always had good luck with these in the past. and now, we have a couple flasks of phal doweryensis heading to us to replace our now dead mature dowery.
anyways, just an update for anyone interested in europe flasks. have a great weekend all!

Thanks for the heads up!
I barely dare to ask, what happened to your big dowery?

hey camille, we r not really sure. it showed one small sign of possibly burn on a leaf before we left for our family visit to the states, and when we got back just 4 weeks later it had dropped every single leaf (like 5 mature, otherwise healthy leaves). none of our orchids had ever died that fast, and our caretaker said she just didn’t know what to do or think, it just kept getting yellow. soooo, no idea.
my leading hypothesis is that since it was a mature plant that was grown ina greenhouse for almost 10 years, the transition to our flat was too much. it did bloom 3 flowers before it died, tho. sad, but we only lost 2 orchids out of over 200, so it’s not the caretakers fault, but she felt very bad!!

hey rjs, from these guys we only ever buy their little “orchidpacks”, which are sterile flasks of 4-5 seedlings. im guessing they are 2nd or 3 plating of mother flasks but i really don’t know their process. this time we got 2 packs of doweryensis, one pack of phal hybrid called uberraschung,
and one unregistered phal hybrid something with gan diamond in the name. the flasks look great about 80% of the time.
these were potted up a month ago or so, and we leave them under bags for the first couple months. the doweryensis are the 3 mugs from bottom up to the right. the Uber’s are the bigger ones top left. this round of flasks all came in great condition
edit, just checked their site again and all orchipacks are like 20% off! dang, shoulda waited....get yours now!

Thanks for the heads up and I saw that nearly everything they have is on sale now, not just the Orchipacks. I'm wondering if they aren't trying to move as much stock as possible to empty some greenhouses for the winter.
