Orchids Limited - A review
Well, I just received a shipment from OL (a Pescatorea cerina and some supplies), and I'm a satisfied customer.
Their website is very easy to use, and they seem to have a great variety of plants despite specializing in slippers. They also have a bunch of great supplies available for sale. I haven't spoken to anyone in their customer service yet, but they sent me top-notch stuff anyway, so I didn't need to call and complain. They were gracious enough to send me a plant in bloom for the price of a non-blooming plant. The flowers are a little beaten-up, and one leaf is broken, but the plant is very healthy overall, so I don't mind (Pescoroid orchids are notoriously difficult to ship anyway, so I really can't blame them for the minimal mechanical damage).
The only thing I didn't like about them is their pricing. This is easily the most expensive vendor I've ever worked with, and things get really pricy really fast. Some of their items are ridiculously expensive (sometimes several hundred to several thousand dollars), and their shipping options tend to make the price tag soar. If you're unlucky enough to be placing an order in bad weather, expect to spend megabucks on your plants. However, given the high quality of their merchandise, I can't complain too much about the costs. I'm certainly going to buy from them in the future, though I think I'll set aside some special savings funds for the said purchases.

I agree--orchids limited has a fantastic selection of plants.
They are a little pricey, but I think the quality is worth it.

They are my local vendor. They have a great selection - both on their list and unlisted. In many cases, their offerings are unique to them. I don't buy everything from them, but the things I do buy from them feel like good values. Jason and Jerry are highly knowledgeable about the orchids, and are easy to work with. I don't buy stuff from them that everyone carries.

Probably best known fo Phrags and Pphs (phrag. Jason Fischer, anyone?), but they've done some other hybridizing that's terrific. Their Doritaenopsis are great - they've focused on substance and multiple blooms open at once - real problems with mant in this group. Nice quirky selection of seed-grown species, too...

I have ordered from them and have been very satisfied as well.
Excellent selection but yes, pricey.
I don't mind paying extra for particularly vigorous healthy plants.
Their customer service and communication are outstanding.

I agree Pricey, but quality plants and great customer service. I like buying from places that raise their own plants and don't just buy and resell like so many are

They do have nice plants, and their customer service is good also. But I would love to know if anyone's brave enough to confess to having purchased the $20,000 Phragmipedium besseae that's listed on their site.

New Orchids Limited
Wondering if anybody’s had a recent experience with them since Jason took over. I live in MN and for 25 years they were my go to place for supplies. I loved being able to go in and browse the retail greenhouse. I could always find that unusual plant they didn’t offer on their website. Jerry was often there and enjoyed chatting with customers. Even though he had a global presence I got the feeling he never forgot how he started and appreciated his local customers.
