Thumbs up Mistking system arrived a few days early! YAY!!!

I got a very pleasant surprise today when the UPS guy delivered a misting system from Marty ( MistKing Misting Systems by Jungle Hobbies Ltd ) today instead of next Tuesday!

I'm really excited about the misting system. I love working with the chids and watering them but there are days that it is a real pain (literally!) for me to do it. Now, once the system is in place, I'll be able to let the misters do the work for the majority of the collection.

Marty ROCKS!!!
The system has been designed to cover my orchid room which is 12' x 28' and has 4 different growing areas...and Marty figured out how to get them ALL covered!

Hubby already has plans for tomorrow so installation won't happen till Sunday but that's fine with me
I'll post pics when it's up and running

Thanks so much, Marty...I spent 5 years thinking that a misting system wouldn't work for me with such a random setup out there. Duh!

Lucky you, Susanne. I had to settle for a less expensive patio cooling misting system. It runs directly off the water hose with no tank or timer. I still manually water most of the time but the mister is great for suppling extended moisture levels on those outrageously hot days...like today, for instance.

I thought about using those patio systems too but I have 3 rainbarrels placed in different locations around the house for my water supply...that system wouldn't have worked here.

I'm posting pics of the room in a minute and then I'll post more when the sytem is in...and on! YAY!

WOW! That's great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to see your room & set up!

I too have been harping on about needing a mister /humidifier..
my plants suffered more than usual this last winter from not enough humidity. We ended up having the c/heating on a higher setting..
I grow all my 'chids & house plants in my downstairs living area - where it's an 'open space' - kitchen, dining and living room. I'm lucky enough to have S/W & E facing windows and sliding doors on 2 sides of the house so there's plenty of light....
my dilemma: what to choose as a systemn that won't affect the house walls etc... ???? (renting)
Looking forward to seeing & reading details of your set up!
Thanks for the thread Sue!

So...
today's the day hubby gets started on installing the Mistking system

I just want to say before the next phase starts that Marty is

The system arrived with instructions and a lovely diagram...and if I hadn't been so overly excited...and dealing with a hubby who likes to reinvent the wheel on occasion...I would have seen that any questions I had were already answered if I had just looked closely

I felt bad hitting Marty with a number of questions through email...all of which were answered right away...and actually a waste of time

Thanks for the help Marty...you ROCK, dude!

to follow...
