Any orchid nurseries in and around Portland
Will be in |Portland for a bit more than a week for week. Are there any orchid nurseries in the vicinity that you could recommend?

If it's Portland, Oregon, I would highly highly recommende Hillsview Gardens (about 1/2 hour or so from the Portland area). You do need to set an appointment. Well worth the visit, especially if you like Paphs, Masdies, and Miltoniopsis.
Welcome to Hillsview Gardens

... or Portland, UK?
because Lars is from the UK and there is a Portland here. I'm going to assume UK but I might be wrong.
I was there a few weeks back and I don't know of any orchid nursaries but I might have missed them.
There is meant to be wild orchids on the peninsula but I'm not sure the details and didn't see them, I just saw it mentioned on one of those tourist information signs you get in those sorts of spots.
PS. I found the north of the peninsula very stark and barren, but it was much nicer in the south.

The closest I know of is Burnham further along the south coast in Newton Abbot, but that might be too far away.

I meant, Portland Oregon, USA. I don't really grow Masdevallias and Paphs, and of course wont be able to buy any plants, as I can't bring them plants
I did also find Briggs Hill Orchids - Eugene, Oregon, which does not seem so far.
I am mainly interested in a nursery, which has lots of different plants to look at.

Eugene is about 2-3 hours drive from Portland.
You might also check with Clackamas Orchids
Home Page
David Morris grows a variety of plants, but am not sure he is open for public visits. Doesn't hurt to check.
If you are interested in Cymbidiums there is Neilson Orchids in Salem.

Briggs Hill is Awesome. My OS had a field trip there last weekend. We spent about 3 hrs and of course, some of their 'chids' followed me home. Their Greenhouse is one of the cleanest one I have seen. Bart and Helene are so nice.
