Martin Motes Orchids

Martin Motes will be speaking to my orchid society in Wilmington, NC in June. Of course he will be speaking on Vandas and Intergenerics. And the best part is he will be bringing and selling plants.

I have not been very successful with vandas. I do not have a greenhouse and it is very difficult to provide enough light and humidity inside my house for 4 - 5 months during the winter.

Does anyone have suggestions for other vanda intergenerics that may be more suitable to indoor growing ??

Trying to do some homework before the meeting. With only an hour and so many other people present -- I better know what I'm looking for before I go.

Martin is such a nice guy...maybe you can send him an email and ask him to bring something suited to your needs.

My absolute BEST Vanda comes from Dr Motes...he was a meeting speaker a few years back and I caught him as he was bringing plants in to the venue. i asked him to choose a vanda as if they weren't already his and was choosing one for himself...he came up with

V. David Gardner 'Za Inat' which is in bloom at this very moment...
