Lucky lucky me that he's only 1.75 hours away from my location!

I LOVE Al! And he has the BEST TOLUMNIA ANYWHERE! You want to buy some big, healthy, fabulous plants, buy from him.

He'll also be able to give you advice about keeping them happy.

Al's isn't so close for me (I'm from Pittsburgh), but I try to stop by around this time every year to grab as many plants as I can carry. Another commitment got in the way this year, but I'm planning to get down there a little later.

I just recently found Al's. I remeber the old website "Al's orchid basement". Lucky for me I'm only about 50min away. Been there twice. He told me if I found a frog he would give me 10% off. Perhaps that was a limited time offer. He is very nice and helpful. I'll probably visit every couple of months. Leesburg, VA isn't exactly on the way back from Baltimore. I hope you also got to see The Little Greenhouse in Baltimore.

Leesburg isn't STRICTLY on the way back from Baltimore. But once you've driven that far -- and there are beautiful orchids to be had -- what's a little detour?

I haven't been to The Little Greenhouse! I get to Baltimore now and again -- I'll make an effort to seek them out next time.

The tolumnia I bought from Al's last fall currently has 4 long spikes! Can't wait for it to bloom!

I love going there--I'm going back there next weekend.

The Little Greenhouse is easily the best orchid vendor in the DC/Baltimore region since Kensington Orchids closed. It's worth the effort!

OMG! I'm in heaven! Another nursery within driving distance! Thanks you Fish and Stitzel! Maybe I'll just make a day trip of it and hit both Al's AND The Little Greenhouse! (drooling)

Guess I'd better work on getting a new grow area together as my initial windowsill garden's getting pretty crowded
