Orchids.com? - Orchid Board

Does anyone have any experience with this vendor? I visited their website recently, and they have some of the plants that I've been looking for. Their prices seem reasonable (not taking shipping into account), and they appear to have a good selection of hybrids and species.

Well as they say in Spanish "estoy confundida!" because the only orchids.com I know of is the web address of Norman's Orchids in California. They have wonderful Phal. hybrids and nearly 100% of my phals have come from
Norman's Orchids - everything listed in spike/bud arrived carefully packed and spikes/buds/flowers intact. I will admit that the non-phals I purchased were not as plush or mature and did not fare as well, however, this could have been due to me rather than them. Are we talking about the same orchid firm or is there another firm by this name?

The same place. It seems to be rather hit and miss with Normans (Orchids.com). I ordered from them once and didn't have an extremely bad experience, but it was mixed. The Catt I ordered had poor root condition, but I repotted it and it has turned around just fine. They also sent an incorrect plant (Phal), but corrected that by sending me the one I ordered and I got to keep the incorrect one as a bonus. Customer service wasn't what I would call bad, but I did have to follow up regarding the incorrect plant situation. The Phals I got are very healthy and vigorous.

I just got an order from this vendor. It arrived in perfect condition. Roots to the bottom of the pot, and the blooms actually traveled pretty well.

I'm aware of the mixed reviews, but I've ordered from LOTS of different mail-order vendors. I am very satisfied (just a little lighter in the wallet).
