Unhappy UPDATE:

Hedge, with those type of flasks I think breaking is the only solution. If it had a wider opening it would be possible to tease them out with forceps.
Hi Camille

Unfortunately, at the time you wrote this, I didn't now that the flask wasn't supposed to look like that
I looked at it a few days later and every plant was brown mush....

hence the update:

I contacted silla, sent a picture, he agreed that something was wrong from the beginning. We both agreed that it didn't come from him looking that way. We think with the extra week it spent in limbo, it had some extreme temp changes or it was kicked around a bit on a bright sunny tarmac somwhere.

We compromised by agreeing that he would send me a replacement flask if I was willing to pay the shipping charge of $28.00 again. This seemed fair to me so they invoiced me, I paid and sat back to wait the 2 weeks or so for delivery...

That was over a month ago and although I tried to contact him numerous times, through PMs here and through email, I have received no package nor have I gotten a response to anything.

In my last email on Weds/Thurs last week, I let him know that if I hadn't heard from him by today I would be posting this notice and also contacting PayPal which is what I've done.

Again...
I am writing this as a consumer and OB member, NOT as an OB mod or administrator.

Dang, this is .... (no words for)...
I'm verry sorry for you :-(

I remember a thread here about flasks with an impossible cross from the same vendor... also saw a recent Sales post here on OB.

I hope he comes up with an explanation but I find it very upsetting what happened.

Well, I just got the flask! Merry Christmas to me!

It looked just as beat up as the first one so I stopped my Christmas prep and deflasked them...going to compot right now. The plants look great but I don't know that they would've survived mmuch longer

i contacted silla and suggested better packaging for long distance deliveries

So...a compot full of CHOCOLATE DROP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree...if they don't live now, it's all my fault!

They look really good. I put them all on top of some slightly damp sphag in one large clay pot until I can do the individual compots which will be Friday

I am looking forward to getting these to bloom, the centers are supposed to be a bright yellow
