Has anybody ordered from silla-glamour orchids?
I'm posting this as an OB member and NOT as a moderator...or ambassador
I ordered a flask and all seemed to be going well. I got a notice that it was shipped but it still hasn't arrived. I've been in contact with silla, who keeps telling me not to worry and that they're there to help...but it's now been 3 days since my last PM and no response.
I am not familiar with international shipping so this may be par for the course but that butterfly in my gut is telling me something's wrong
I'm starting to worry and was wondering if anybody else has any experience

How long it will take depends on how it was shipped and where it was shipped from. In general, international packages take longer than domestic. Customs can also delay and complicate things. How long has it been since the item was shipped? A friend of mine did an international import of some plants and it took over a week-probably closer to two weeks.

How long ago did you order it? You didn't mention how long it's taken. Did you organise for a Phyto and an import permit? At least those are required in Aus, don't know about the US.
Normally if someone sends it through the mail they use EMI and provide a tracking number that can track your packages here: USPS - Track & Confirm - Put our delivery information to work for you
Normally the actual shipping doesn't take long, it's the customs that takes a while. It can take up to a week to clear customs here, and that's if things go well.

I got a tracking number on 10/02 which didn't show anything in the system. I contacted them right away and they replied on 10/15 with a corrected link to Singapore Post which shows this:

I see that according to this, they did send the package but I have no way of finding it and need their help. When I don't get responses I get worried
All I know is that I paid quite a while ago and still have nothing

Unfortunately, tracking information is often not as readily available for postal shipments. A lot of the time you can't get complete information until after it is delivered . Did you get an import permit, CITES and phytosanitary certificate? If not, could really hang things up .

All of the paperwork was included on the seller's end.
I guess I'll continue to wait.
I really don't think silla is trying to do anything wrong but I need their help in figuring out what the problem was...I paid, that was my part

You might want to check, but you may need to have obtained an import permit on your end. At one time I looked into importing plants and that was my understanding when I read the information.

Thanks for the info, Susan
i did ask about that before placing the order and was told I didn't need to do anything. If that was the case, I definitely wouldn't have ordered. I prefer to buy American (since I am an American ) but took a chance with this one.

I think you have to have the import permit. They cannot do that for you. But, if it's just one flask then that should not be that big of a problem. The biggest problem is that for small shipments like this it may just get destroyed and you will never hear anything. That has happened to me many times although not with a flask. I just don't bother anymore unless they can get it through customs and ship it inside the US as many of the SA companies do.

orchid flasks are not covered by CITES, and do not require a CITES certificate. importing a single flask for personal use does not require an import permit. a phytosanitary certificate is required, and should be provided by the vendor.
3 weeks is quite a long time to wait for a flask, but it happens sometimes. when the package arrives in th u.s., it should be trackable on the usps website listed above.
