anybody know of good Alabama vendors?

Hi everybody,
Is is anyone familiar with good orchid vendors in Alabama? There are NONE in my area (Cullman). I have to rely on Lowes or Walmart (goodness forbid) now. It would really be nice to find one/some not too far away, if poss. If not, online ordering would be fine, too.

Hi Vicki! I don't live in Alabama so I can't help you there. But you said you would be interested in ordering online? Do you want me to list a couple of online vendors I've had good experiences with?

Hi Sarah!
The only two online vendors who I have ordered from are Andy's Orchids and Oak Hill Gardens.....both of which I was more than very pleased with. If you have had good experiences with any other than these two, I really would appreciate your input.

Andy's and Oak Hill are probably my favorites. You could try checking out these too.

Orchid Growers - Hakalau, HI - Carmela Orchids
I've never ordered from them but I want too. I've heard such good things. The shipping looks kinda high so I would want to order a few to make up for it.

Definitely repot if you order from here. I never had any issues with bad broken down media but others have. I have gotten really nice plants from here though.

Have you checked this out yet? She is a moderator on here. I've never ordered from there before but I will when the weather warms up here.

I live in a small town and there is nowhere to buy orchids around here either. There are a ton of places to order from but I just listed the few I've dealt with or heard good things about. I just have fun looking at all the cool orchids! Hope that helps a little!

The only AL I know of is Orchidbabies in Brierfield, AL. They specialize in Paph and Phrags, but you have to schedule an appointment if you want to visit. A quick check on Google Maps says its 1 3/4 hours south from you.

Also there is Peach State Orchids is GA. It's about 2 hours east. But I've never ordered from them

I love seeing Orchidbabies at the local shows here...they always have great minis, always species and almost always stuff that you don't usually see elsewhere.
