The owner is Andrea Niessen and she does a great job and has a great reputation. I have no commercial experience with her company but have been to both her nurseries in Colombia. She has an active laboratory and most of her plants are now from select seed strains like her world famous Cycnoches barthiorum. I say go for it.
Hope that helps, Eric

I have bought from them a few times. At The Chicagoland Orchid Festival. The last time, they brought in quite a few plants for me, that had to be re-shipped to Arizona. Everything was in good shape in Chicago when i saw them, and when they arrived in Arizona (Oak Hill packed and shipped them for me along with some Oak Hill plants I bought).
Both Andrea and Juan Carlos are very good people to deal with and very accomodating. they have some hard-to-find plants in thier catalog too.
I recommend them!

Hey guys, thank you for the input- is there a minimum order, I really only want two plants from their list! Do you have to pay beforehand or after you get the plants and inspect them! I am always so cautious!
Thanks

If you can contact them in time (don't know when the Redlands show is happening) they will bring them, and I'm pretty sure there is no minimum. In that case you wouldn't have to pay in advance either, just pay when you pick up your order at the show. They "trusted" me for a $600. order last fall.
If you miss that cut-off, they will bring plants to the next show they do in the US, and ship to you from there. Probably would need to pay in advance for that.
They sometimes take a while to respond to e-mails, but they always DO respond. Good luck.

Hi Ed,
Well I've emailed twice in the last 2-3 weeks and no response from either individual. The cut off is in march, so I dont get it... It is slightly frustrating for the potential consumer to know that.
I will try again this weekend if not then I might consider ruling them out and pre-ordering with someone else!

Hey Brett,
They have an active lab (I've been in it) but I don't know if they sell flasks - either in Colombia or abroad.
Hope that helps, Eric

Thanks Eric
I appreciate the information. It seems to be a problem with many of the places I want orchids from. They make flasks but only for their own propagation program. I wish some would just do a one off deal for me as they have what I want I am sure, just wont sell
Brett
