Not with a 60 hour heat pack. Did the heat pack feel warm at all when you got it? I would seriously look at the roots if I were you.

Unhealthy Phalaenopsis: 1
Poor response from vendor: 1
OB Members: 8,295

Good customer service: Priceless!

If this vendor cared about their customers (or their plants for that matter) you never would have received a plant in such poor shape. The fact that they are not willing do make it right shows such poor managerial skills...word of mouth is a key factor in acquiring new customers. Silliness on their part

Give this baby some extra TLC and hope for the best...and never do business with them again. I know I won't ever order from them...ever!

As long as the roots are firm, then they should be ok brown or not. If you feel the need to you can upload a picture for us to look at of the roots. But like others said, it will probably just take a lot of TLC. Provide it with good humidty, shade, and lots of patience for recovery it it might make it. Keep us updated on how it goes!

Good...because if she checks this thread she will see that she's making a really bad business decision in not making things right with you.

I know of at least one really addicted orchid fanatic who goes on spending sprees regularly...that will NEVER buy from them

Yeah, I've put a big flag on this vendor also. Poor response from a vendor is a definite no-no, in my book. Things happen, it's just the way it goes sometimes, but to not take responsibility for it is just plain bad business. Thanks for the head's up, and keep us posted on any recovery, okay?
