Default Canada : Vancouver seller for Neofinetia and Sedirea

For Orchid lovers in Vancouver area, I just found a seller yesterday in Delta BC I didn't know (can't find him on internet), so I thought I'd share:
It is along Ladner Trunk Road (on the way between Delta and Ladner, west of Hwy 91 and north of Hwy 99).
The name is Exotic Orchids (small place), the owner is friendly and knowledgeable and he sells some really nice Neofinetia falcata (different varieties, including bean leaves with red root tips, variegated leaves....) some are mounted Japanese style on moss and in nice pots, some are in plastic pots. Prices in the $70s and up

Also a few Sedirea japonica and Bulbophyllum drymoglossum.

Richard,

A woman sells some Neo in Granville Island Market, I met her a saturday 2 weeks ago. But her prices are very high ($40 for a 1 to 2 growths plant !) and they all seemed to be regular Neofinetia falcata. But maybe she could tell you where to find more...

You may be referring to Young's Plants

10780 Ladner Trunk Rd
Delta BC, V4G 1K2

Phone #: 604-599-9550 email: youngsplants

They said that they do ship plants on occasion.

Key contact: Jung Soo Choi , Owner (speaks English)
His son Jay Choi is well spoken, both are extremely knowledgeable and proud of their Bonsai and Orchids including Neofinetia and Sedirea (both of which I bought cloned plants to bring with me to Toronto).

I found the prices to be reasonable, varied by age, and they also had mother plants from Korea which were expensive indeed!

I am new to orchids and thought these miniature and their fragrance to be perfect as I am not into the larger more colourful varieties (as is my Aunt in Vancouver for whom I was purchasing a beautifully arranged Neofinetia falcata as a memory for her father, my grandfather of 98, just passed).

I just went there the other day and was very impressed....
I got a 6 growth Bean Leaf Neo... and had an interesting conversation with him about the cultural significance of the species.
