Hoosier Orchids going out?
Anyone else notice this post Untitled Document ? I, for one, will miss them. Some of my better recent seedlings have come from them at local shows. It will be a huge hole hard to fill.

I hope it isn't true ...

Hey Ross, I heard about this from Paul down here in Novi. While I've never purchased anything from them, Paul said they were very good, especialy with species and the more uncommon hybrids....I guess whether it's cars or chids things are getting tough

Yes, it's true. I visited their greenhouses last week and about one fourth of their stock is already gone. They're getting rid of everything, even the large plants they've used to breed with, supposedly by the end of August.

That's sad to see. Though in today's economy with fuel prices the way they are I'm glad I don't have to heat a greenhouse in MI.

They had better be ready
because I am headed there next Saturday. All their stock, eh? If you go to their website, it says that they are going to cease retailing orchids, whatever that means.

Terri, tell me about winters in Michigan and heating my tiny GH! I know I haven't a leg to stand on when you think of the people who may have GH's in colder locations than mine but yes you are lucky!
