Thanks Ross, Terri and all of you that have given me some very sound advice. I had better order some charcoal and small web pots. I haven't gotten any response from Hausermann's regarding my purchase but I suppose they are really busy.

Sheridan, what day did you place your order? I received an email once it was shipped but that was from UPS with my tracking number. I'm sure you'll get order sent out by Monday. They are quick! Oh, I also got my net pot and charcoal from firstrays.com. The medium charcoal is what you need.

Hi Sheridan,
When I ordered mine, I got an email saying the order was received with an order number. Nothing else. I had to call them to find out when it was going to be shipped and they said it was shipped that day (Tues). If you order on a Mon or Tues, they try to ship them right away, but late Tues, and Wed on they wait until the following Monday for fear of them being held up in a UPS warehouse over the weekend.
I didn't read your earlier post, so hope this was answering your shipping question okay.

Hi Caseydoll I was on First Ray's Orchids and looked at his net pots and charcoal. Is a 4in net pot to big and the medium charcoal is not to small? If that is what you ordered I will do the same. I have charcoal but its way to small.

Kiki-do I placed my order on the 22nd after 5pm in the afternoon so they will probably ship tomorrow.

It will be fun growing a different type of orchid I think

I just ordered an Oncidium Sweet Sugar (in bud) from Hausermann's!!! I can't wait to see it!!

I had a few other orchids in my shopping cart, but then I realized I'll have a tough time explaining my expanding collection to my family. They're seriously going to disown me, or kick me and my orchids out

Adlemsi if they through you out you can come live with me. I have threatend my hubby I would move him out on the front porch. I sneak mine in when he is napping and he never knows the difference.

Hi Sheridan! The medium charcoal from Ray's is just perfect for those net pots. It has a few small pieces in it but it's mostly bigger chunky pieces. I used a 3 inch black net pot from there and it was perfect. I didn't get my tolumnia from hausermanns though. Mine was on the large side. I know Terri used a 2 inch net pot for hers so you may want to get a couple 2" and a couple 3" just to be safe. I think 4" would probably be too big. They are cheap so you could stock up on several sizes. You just never know when you'll need more.

Adlemsi and Sheridan, you guys are too funny! I do the same thing. Secretly order when my boyfriend is out of the room and race home from work to retrieve my package from the porch before he comes home. He is pretty understanding about the whole orchid obsession but I've been going a little crazy lately..... I definitely need to stop!!!

And Adlemsi, I LOVE your sharry baby! I have one but it's too young to bloom (well thats my excuse anyway!). The fragrance is going to be amazing in a few days I bet. Then your family will understand...
