First Rays

Although not terribly active posting wise, I’ve lurked around on here for quite a while, and have gotten a lot of good information from what Ray (firstrays) has posted. After quite a lot of reading, and going down several rabbit holes, I decided to order the “optimal growth package” from First Rays. My order was shipped quickly, and arrived unscathed, in spite of sub freezing temperatures in my area. Everything was packed nicely, and all bottles had special tape around the tops to stop them opening in transit.

I received my order about a week ago, and applied kelpak to my entire collection the day I received it. I certainly had no illusions of “instant” action with the product, but I can honestly say I’m impressed. Over the course of a week some newly potted divisions and D. X Delicatum keiki have shown substantial new root growth; a Dendrochilum cobbianum, that I repotted out of season due to a severe bush snail infestation has put out the beginnings of two new growths, and a couple of plants that I had begun to write off have shown signs of making a turn for the better.

Even if you’re hesitant to try a new product, the cultural information on the First Rays website is top notch, and backed up with hard science, rather than the typical opinion and conjecture so common in the horticulture trade in general.

I had an email inquiry that was answered within a few hours on a Sunday. Top notch service, and a great product, I can definitely recommend that anyone interested in orchids should order without hesitation from First Rays.
