Some US ebay sellers: Anyone have any experience?
Hey friends!
I was looking around for some other US sellers of Neos to see if there were some other varieties for sale in the US, and I found these following ebay stores:
And I was wondering if anyone has any experience with any of these sellers.
If any of you who have the disposable income, that last seller is auctioning a variegated bean leaf variety starting at $1,150.

Not sure about them but you can always give them a try. I have found a few very good vendors on etsy (that are also on ebay) and a few that were not so good (all had good ratings).
If you are interested in Vanda falcata, have you looked at New World Orchids? New World Orchids: Specializing in Orchids From Japan
or Orchid Web?

I have been pondering about getting something from Orchid Web to see how they are as a vendor. The hariba variety they have interesets me some.
I was mostly curious as those Ebay stores I mentioned, especially japaneseorchids, have some varieties I don't see from other vendors. Quite a few more tiger varieties as well.

I hope you find someone who has bought from them who can advise you. Ebay and Etsy are both so hit and miss...I buy orchids that I want and cannot find anywhere else there. I should really go through my buying history and write down the good vendors. If you do not get any feedback, I would check with the other vendors (call them and ask) and, if they do not have them, buy one or two and see (that is what I tend to do). Good luck!

I've bought from japaneseorchids and diamondorchids. Both are good vendors.

Diamond Orchids has an excellent reputation - and some wonderful plants, in great variety You can also order from the website Peter T. Lin - Diamond Orchids - About Me
Owner is Peter T. Lin. (Not to be confused with Peter LIn of Big Leaf Orchids in Texas which specializes in Phals, also an excellent vendor... Diamond Orchids has a wide range of genera, Peter T. Lin especially has many awarded minicatts. Big Leaf Orchids specializes in Phals)

I’ve bought a number of plants from Diamond orchids (Peter T Lin) from the list on his website, and they have all been great, many were sent in bud or bloom even though not listed that way. No neos though. About a year ago I bought a couple neos from Orchid Nick on Etsy, and they have grown well but haven’t bloomed yet, fingers crossed for blooms in the spring. Before I kill a really expensive one I thought I’d try the basic Amalfi islands type. The tags on them indicate they came from Cal Orchids, which was out of them at the time.

If you're going to buy from Diamond Orchids, I'd suggest going through the website. His ebay auctions have a starting price of his website catalog plus a few bucks to account for ebay's fees. For example, I just bought several C. Chocolate Drop from him for $20, whereas his ebay listing started at $25. Typically from past experience, his plants are on the small side but healthy.
By the way, if anyone is interested, it doesn't say specifically on his catalog, but I've confirmed with Peter that his Chocolate Drop item is 'SVO' x self. And if Fred Clarke's product descriptions could be trusted, one of them claimed C. Chocolate Drop 'SVO' to be 4n. So if you're into that...

Thanks everyone! I'll add Peter T Lin's site and the japaneseorchids ebay page to my list of sellers.
I will ask, though, is japaneseorchids on ebay just Seed Engei? Here's that website: https://seed-engei.com/
