Being in France, your friend is not limited to French growers. That's good, because French vendors seem to be more expensive than other countries.
- In France :
- La Canopée (In Bretagne). Been there, greenhouses are tidy and wonderful plants. They have a lot of Lycaste (do breeding)
Italy :
- Nardotto e Capello (for french customers they cross the border and ship from France, so shipping is cheap). Amazing quality plants and affordable.
- Giulio Celandroni Orchidee: More expensive, but nice plants
Belgium:
- Akerne Orchids. Also been there, nice greenhouses. They do a lot of Sarcochilus.
Germany :
- Schwerter Orchideenzucht. Haven't shopped there in a while, but can't imagine the quality has changed much. One of the more well known german vendors
- Orchideen Lucke. They import a lot of Cattleya from South America, but also have a good selection of other genera. Also been there and was impressed by the greenhouses.
- Ecuagenera Europe. I have not shopped here since the change in ownership (formerly Roelke Orchideen), so don't know if the plants are of the same high quality. Good selection of Phrags.
- Orchibias - Orchids for Europe. Specializes in novelty Phals and has a good selection of high quality hybrids. Imports from Joseph Wu twice a year. Amazing quality plants and customer service.
That's what I can think of at the moment. There are others I've never shopped at but have heard good things.
