Grammatocymbidiums available

People in the past have asked about where to by Grammatocymbidium hybrids. Olympic Orchids has them frequently, plus may other warm-growing Cymbidium and Grammatophyllum hybrids. They have a lot now, as well as many orchids of different genera.

The listing sorts alphabetically. Some are listed as Cymbidiums, some as Grammatocymbidiums, some as Cymbidium x Grammatophyllum, and one is listed alone by itself under Uncategorized rather than with the other orchids.

Ellen also has some Billbergia hybrids listed under Companion Plants, which are very easy to grow and dramatically beautiful bromeliads that make good companion plants to orchids. Notice too you can order a free surprise companion plant with orders over $25.

The plants are small but healthy seedlings or mericlones in 2" / 5cm pots, growing in fresh sphagnum moss. I rarely repot them until they outgrow the pots. The intergeneric Oncidiums I buy from Ellen generally flower 2-3 summers after I buy them.

so, cool preview/follow up. ES knew i was jonsin' for some of these and gave me this tip about 2 years ago. i ordered all the GMCYMs and nice gram hybrids they had and they are all alive and most are thriving...i'll go and take a pic but i potted them all up like asian cyms and put them in the front of the lath house...full sun in the AM and dappled to shade as the day goes on

Mine were waiting in my carport when I got home last night. I doused them all with fertilizer/Kelpak. It was too late for photos (early start today) but I'll try to post later.

Oh, and the tiny Oncidium Twinkle and Howeara Lava Burst "Puanini" are in spike in 2" pots.

Just arrived from Olympic.
Very nice looking seedlings I think in line with the price. Looking forward to hopefully live long enough to see what they look like.

My wife loves these Grammatocyms and the Nathan Newman we have really is a wonderful plant that's in flower usually from Nov-April. If these are anything close, they are a steal.

A must have if you live somewhere too warm to reliably bloom a Cym.

mine have been here for 2-3 years, on the shelf on the floor by the brassavolas

here they are, all have grown about 6 pbulbs and are making almost full size new growths...

i replanted them immediately into these so they were way too up-potted which might have slowed their initial growth a little

DC, that's interesting.
They don't look like the ones I got from Olympic nor the Nathan Newman I have. All of mine look like Cymbidiums with long, narrow, pointed sword-like leaves.
