I first saw a picture of SVO 8064t
C. Princesse Clementine (C. dowiana 'Claire' x C. aclandiae 'Gulfglade' AM/AOS) on social media during the last big show in Florida a few weeks ago.
Big time lust!

Yep, not at all your usual flat/"perfect" flower but I can't get enough of that buckskin/amber color with spots and twirls and huge magenta lip!

Thanks for sharing your picks, the list is sort of overwhelming! This is a big leap into Cattleya territory for me. And I have a soft spot for species, I like to see where all these hybrid traits come from…
SVO9896 - 3inch C. aurantiaca (C. aurantiaca 'SVO Spots' x C. aurantiaca 'SVO Spots 2') : 1 : 18.00
SVO9463 - 3inch C. kerrii (C. kerrii 'Mother's Day 2N' x C. kerrii 'Pink Leprechaun' 4N) : 1 : 20.00

I tried to only get 4 orchids too and I ended up ordering 8...
Here's my list:
- SVO9629 C. NEW HYBRID (C. Hawaiian Variable 'Green and White' x C. aclandiae f. alba 'SVO' AM/AOS)
- SVO9792 Blc. NEW HYBRID (Blc. Orange Nuggett 'Kadaoka' HCC/AOS x Blc. Guess What 'SVO' AM/AOS)
- SVO8052t C. Howard's Delight (C. Interglossa f. coerulea 'Purple Tower' BM/JOGA x Lc. Elegans f. coerulea 'Leviathan')
- SVO9624 C. NEW HYBRID (C. Interglossa f. coerulea 'Purple Tower' BM/JOGA x C. Laura Newton 'Flair's Spots')
- SVO8049t C. Laura Newton (C. Interglossa 'SVO Aquinii Coerulea' x C. Leoloddiglossa 'Darkest Blue')
- SVO7997t C. schilleriana (C. schilleriana 'Blue Green' x C. schilleriana 'Blue Moon')
- SVO9563 C. Leoloddiglossa (C. Leoloddiglossa 'SVO Speckled Blue' FCC/AOS x C. Leoloddiglossa 'Darkest Blue')
- SVO9556 C. NEW HYBRID (C. Pinata Surprise 'Pink Elephants' x C. Orchidom Brabant 'Ocelot' HCC/AOS)
I think a lot of us really gravitated towards SVO9563 C. Leoloddiglossa.
I'm definitely going to try to get my hands on mini-catasetum when the list drops, I've told myself I will only get 3... So I guess we'll call it a success if I stay under 5. I want to get Fred's latest Cat hybrids but I'm also waiting for the catasetinae.com list to drop sometime this Spring as I want to see if I can get me one of those really black Fredclarkeara like the After Dark "Black Pearl" I like the flower shape of those better than the Monnierara Witchcraft.

Why C. Leoloddiglossa? Just curious. The illusiveness of the blue-ness? The floriferousness?
I'm looking up some more pics... blue w/ spots is pretty intriguing. I do love spots. Maybe next year...!

I definitely tried to go heavy on "blue" Cattleyas with minimal yellow as I feel that pink, orange, yellow cattleyas are just everywhere. I did buy a very orange hybrid hoping for a bright, neon, electric orange bloom.
I got Howard's Delight for the floriferousness and C. Leoloddiglossa was mostly about the dark coerulea spotting. I got SV 9556 for the stunning spotting as well...
I think if you're into hobby hybridizing C. Leoloddiglossa for $18 is extremely reasonable and should become a good parent if you want to hybridize blue spotted Cattleyas without yellow lips. Once these hit Krull Smith they will be $50 a plant or more, so worth snatching while available.

They're stunning if you see them in real life. All the qualities of a great bifoliate mixed with intense "blue." I'm not a huge coerulea fan, but these are really cool. Good to see that Fred is line breeding them. In fact, I think the Leos are the only crosses of the same grex on the list.

Very nice looking plants, no surprise there! It's currently in the negatives here, too cold to ship, so I think I should receive mine next week.
It's interesting that the Leoloddiglossa's are so popular because I considered getting one. Because of my space constraints (height as well as overall space in my tent), standard unifoliate catts are the largest I can go. Maybe in a 3-5 years one of you can divide your Leoloddiglossa and we can trade once I have more room
